I was taking a look at some Green Bay Packer statistics from last year and a few months removed I am still blown away at how well Aaron Rodgers performed in his first full season as a starter. To show just exactly how well he played even further, here is a list of quarterbacks in their first full 16 game season as a starter in the NFL. The order is based upon their quarterback rating.
1. Dan Marino: 362/564, 64.2%, 5084 yards, 48td's, 17 int's, 108.9 rating
2. Tony Romo: 220/337, 65.3%, 2903 yards, 19td's, 13 int's, 95.1 rating
3. Aaron Rodgers: 341/536, 63.6%, 4038 yards, 28td's, 13 int's 93.8 rating
4. Philip Rivers: 284/460, 61.7%, 3388 yards, 22td's, 9 int's 92.0 rating
5. Joe Montana: 311/488, 63.7%, 3565 yards, 19td's, 12 int's, 88.4 rating
6. Jay Cutler: 297/467, 63.6%, 3497 yards, 20 td's, 14 int's, 88.1 rating
7. Matt Ryan: 265/434, 61.1%, 3440 yards, 16td's, 11 int's, 87.7 rating
8. Tom Brady: 373/601, 62.1%, 3764 yards, 28 td's, 14 int's, 85.7 rating
9. Donovan McNabb: 330/569, 58.0%, 3365 yards, 21 td's, 13 int's, 77.8 rating
10. Drew Brees: 320/526, 60.8%, 3284 yards, 17 td's, 16 int's, 76.9 rating
10. Warren Moon: 259/450, 57.6%, 3338 yards, 12 td's, 14 int's, 76.9 rating
12. Eli Manning: 294/557, 52.8%, 3762 yards, 24 td's, 17 int's, 75.9 rating
13. Brett Favre: 318/522, 60.9%, 3303 yards, 19 td's, 24 int's, 72.2 rating
14. Peyton Manning: 326/575, 56.7%, 3739 yards, 26 td's, 28 int's, 71.2 rating
15. John Elway: 327/605, 54.1%, 3891 yards, 22td's 23 int's, 70.2 rating
Rodgers numbers trump arguably everybody's numbers save for Marino's disgusting stat line. If Rodgers continues to repeat these type of numbers he will earn every penny of that huge contract extension he received last year.

Marino is a god! I would like to get into it with a few bonehead Favre fans about greatest QB of all time. Anyone who claims it is anyone beside Marino is only fooling themselves. There is a subject for you the next time the Brewers have an off day.
Oh, I couldn't wait for you to post a new thread, so I thought I would start the conversation here. Hopefully people read my comment and remark on my undeniable genius.
#10 Reasons Dan Marino is better than Brett Farve
#1. Dan Marino didn't throw any TD's on pain killers
#2. 13>4. You can't argue with the math
#3 Dan Marino was drafted in the 4th round of the MLB draft out of high school. Brett Favre was drunk for most of high school.
#4 Dan Marino has his entire large and small intestine. That more than you can say for Brett Favre.
#5 Dan Marino would have put up remarkably higher numbers if it weren't for a freak achilles tear. (He would have also had a comparable starts streak as well)
#6 Dan Marino was recruited by several major colleges including Notre Dame, UCLA, and Clemsen. Brett Favre was practically a walk on at a small hick school.
#7 Dan Marino has 4 beautiful children. Brett only had the balls for 2
#8 Dan Marino was a 1st round draft pick. Brett Favre was drafted at the end of the second round.
#9 Dan Marino had a 1,000 yard rusher in his back field only once (1996) Brett Favre has enjoyed 8 seasons with a 1,000 yard rusher.
#10 Brett Favre is a piece of shit.
Interesting list, I won't get into the debate of whether or not Favre is better than Marino, not tonight at least, that debate is for another day. However, Marino cannot ever be considered for greatest quarterback of all time. In my opinion the absolute greatest quarterback of all time has to have certain points to even be considered. They need to have won an MVP award, had long term success as a quarterback, do at least one thing that sets you apart from any other quarterback in NFL history, (i.e. Favre's iron man streak or something of the sort), and most importantly they have to have won at least one super bowl, something Marino has not done and therefore cannot be considered for greatest of all time. I have no problem with anybody placing him as number 2 at all, but the main two things are winning a super bowl, and winning an mvp award, and being a great quarterback that is why to me the honor has to be between Montana and Elway, at least for now. Brady and Manning will probably have something to say about it in the long run, but right now its between Montana and Elway and Marino cannot be considered because he hasn't won a Super Bowl.
